EIR: Communion
This is a story without the bickering of politics, rumor-izing, sharp-tongued disagreements, and doom and gloom predictions…isn’t that what Christianity is all about? I trust this will put all our daily lives into some kind of perspective, and affords an appropriate reminder of one of my favorite Bible verses and songs: This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalm 118:24).
Email Inspiration Received (EIR) and checked out on snopes.com and truthorfiction.com…my kind of story for sure despite the discrepancy between Buzz Aldrin being Presbyterian or Esipcopal – he’s a Christian regardless of the church doors he walks through!
This from an email received from my friend David S. – the pictures are from my personal photo library.

Barkeep! I’ll have another
Scotch is good and all, but $18,000 good. Hmmmm. Perhaps I am just too much of an enjoyer of Scotch to see it as a “long-term investment”. Most scotch with me is a “short term investment”…but don’t you know I will go home tonight and check the date on my Macallan and Glenfiddich and pretend I’m rich in scotch….
50-Year-Old Scotch Whisky Sells for Record $18K
(The Times of London) – A New York buyer paid a record £12,350 ($18,650) for a 50-year-old bottle of Macallan whisky at the world’s biggest whisky sale in Glasgow, The (London) Times reported Thursday.
EHR & EIR: Mayo Clinic Concert
If this doesn’t make you smile, laugh, and appreciate life, you’re probably already dead.
Email Humor Received (EHR) and Email Inspiration Received (EIR) from OFGaP Jayne…thanks lady! This made my day, week, and month!
Jammin’ with Diane and Daryl
Diane Birch has that 70’s-80’s sound to her voice. So don’t ya know, I’ve got several of her songs on my iPhone, but these sounds and songs with Daryl Hall certainly bring back good-time memories of my K-State all-nighters.
And my toe still taps to this song
And I’ve got a few more (heavy sigh)….
