I pretty sure I got behind the Jetson's during this morning's workday commute, or so their vehicle shadows against the barrier wall might seem to indicate. Except...these guys with their midsize sedans weren't floating and or making soprano-pitched beep-beep sounds.

Let's see...gonna make a list: A lake, a sunrise, a man, a shelter, a table, a BBQ grill, and a fishing experience. Is life grand or what?

32 years ago I started singing "You Are My Sunshine" to my baby girl. Whenever she would fuss, I would sing. And miraculously she would stop...most likely from disbelief of such a horrific sound coming from her "pops". As an infant, as a toddler, as an adolscent, as a teenager, as a high school senior, as a college student and grad, as a long-distance caller, and still to this day, I sing her that song! Happy Birthday Sweets! "...you make me happy when skies are gray". (this morning's sunrise pushing away the clouds BTW)

Like launching jets from an aircraft carrier....

Is it me, or is there something ironic about watching a deer in a beautiful, full gait...passing a satellite dish? We'll have no hunting-realty-show-trophy-kill-'em-dead show being filmed here....

Some days I enjoy being the long-neck guy swimming against the crowd, and then there are some days I shouldn't take so much dag-gum pleasure in doing just that.....

I thought these two were going to ram the truck this evening. They were not too happy about me driving away without tossing something for them to eat.

Interestingly, outside this Japanese Steakhouse two buzzards were not happy with not having anything to eat either. So instead, they commenced to fighting over their perch (the restaurant sign), that just so happened to be above the back door of the restaurant....hmmmm

This one-legged red-tailed hawk taught me something in the twilight of a sunset this evening: life ought to be more about balance, perseverance, where you sit, how you present yourself (notice his tail feathers are counterbalancing his one-leggedness), and posing for a picture every now and then. So what he was a-preachin', I gotta start a-practicin'. Hope I get to see more of him soon.

Ran into some old friends tonight. I didn't even have to ask, but I did...they're doing just fine
