The Lifecycle Daily Cap(s) (127)

My front yard Desert Willow shows a bountiful life being in bloom and a vitality in setting a seed head.

My back yard Mexican Plum, I fear, is showing signs of a good life coming to an end as I had to remove yet another dead limb today

These guys were all over a Keller park this afternoon - if it was bloomin' they were busy fluttering

Already sickly is this tree, and it's only spring...an early spring at that

They are a colorful lot with bookend wings...I think this is the Common Buckeye Butterfly

The Not-In-My-Backyard Daily Cap(s) (103)

These two soon realized that this pool had a "no lifeguard on duty" policy...so there they sat pitifully longing for a nice cool dip in the pool

I called this kid's backyard recreation somewhat "ingenious". The property manager I was with during our morning property walk called it "redneck"....

A favorite tree...the hickory has a great trunk and bark pattern

The Daily Cap (28)

A Good Morning Saturday - a particularly beautiful sunrise it was. And even more so when I turned my back to her and found this Oak waiting for the same glimpse of light and warming of the soul, just like me.

The Daily Cap (20)

Leafless trees silhouetted against a sunrise or sunset do it to me every time. This, along with news from home gave some calm to the end of an emotional day...

The Daily Cap (19)

That she is a stately (Post) Oak with a true stature of magnificance...even in the winter. And especially when seen standing in front of a beautiful sunrise glow.

Wood Carver

This is a cool story – Hurricane Ike came calling in September 2008, and that allowed  this guy do his magic, after-the-fact:
