This Asymmetrical Old House Daily Cap (2)

I have watched "this old house" deterriorate for years and figured before it falls in on itself, it was worthy of a photograph. It is odd decisions like this: symmetry in everything except the front door and a porch column that makes me wonder about decisions made in its design and construction many years ago.
More than its deteriorating  condition, photographing the peculiar symmetry of “this old house” is what causes me to speculate on the design decisions (or indecisions) made when placing the front door, steps, and a middle porch column.
