What’s buggin’ me
I don’t know what’s up with me and bugs lately, they always seem to find the flowers I’m taking pictures of.

It was a grand 3-day holiday weekend. This Monday also ended the National Backyard Games Week…Tuesday will mark the end of the National Barbeque Month. I did my usual photography stuff…I actually hopped on the bicycle and tooled down to the Corps Park for pictures this morning. We celebrate all that weekend stuff, and most of us, somewhere, sometime, somehow reflect on our fallen military heros. It truly was a meaning full weekend – thanks!
Great song, great voice, great piano…if you’re in a mood for pop. Got him on my iPod several times over. This song is for the romantic somewhere in each of us…somewhere, right? OK, well maybe not each of us…. Continue reading “TMF: Jon McLaughlin”
1/2 mile from Frisco”s In-N-Out Burger. Kept going. Wise or dumb? Whatever…I’m still hungry! Continue reading Huh?
Egads! The past couple days has brought thunderstorms to the area. These are storms that seem a bit unusual…similar to the severe weather in Missouri, Georgia, and North Carolina of late, but obviously not of as grand a scale.
I argue global warming with FB Tony. Don’t anyone panic here – I realize much of the claims are speculation (research is academia – what else would you expect?), but something is going on in the likes very few has seen this weirdness in their lifetime. I’m in the camp of climate change happens – I’m also in the camp believing man has a definite “unnatural” influence and impact that contributes to the ever-changing climate process. How much…no one can really say, so don’t try. It is more of a political volleyball than anything else. Enough of that for now….
When the FD was in town over Mother’s Day weekend a few weeks ago, we set up a twin bed for her in the living room (don’t ask…sore subject). Zoey found the accommodations to be of great convenience for her every sleeping and exercising need. Continue reading “Zumba Zoey”
An email funny was read this morning that had kindergarten kids describing “grandparents”. One kid said, “when they take us for walks, they slow down past things like pretty leaves and caterpillars”.
I guess it’s OK to act like a grandparent (I’m not one BTW) for the time being…OK since I stop at many of the plants and bugs along the way these days.
Finally figured I better backup 56,327 photos x2 and the iTune library of 3,184 “items”. Hard drive is 93% full! Continue reading
Every now and then you just need to stop and listen to classical…and then more often, you just need to stop and listen to Mozart with a modern day attitude.

It was a “what were you thinking” lunch hour today. I inflated a flat tire and hauled my bicycle to work for a scheduled group ride. How fun, right?
Well, maybe so…kind of, sort of.
I haven’t took to the pedals in about 4, maybe 5 months. I thought “sure, I’ll go. I need the exercise for sure”. Continue reading “Two Advils later”
I haven’t had a meaningfully important 7:00 a.m. meeting in a long, long time…maybe since K-State landscape architecture construction lecture classes with DJ. Oh the agony of those! You dared not doze off in his class either, or else you got a chalked-up eraser pitched at your chest. Wait a minute…I wasn’t going there. Continue reading “A Morning Get After”
This Email Humor Received (EHR) comes from Larry the Associate from work. He prefaced the email claiming “This humor is right up your alley, Tim! Long live British humor!”. I’m not sure if that is a complement or shot – I choose “complement”. As my FS will attest, we both enjoy our British humor, especially from John Cleese. Thanks Larry! This is too funny.
