My FD, the Internet Sensation
Go check out the FD! Tiff’s webseries acting debut is online as of this past Thursday. Episode 1 (11 more to go) introduces the cast of characters. For those of you that don’t know my “Favorite Daughter”, she’s the one in the gray sweater/gray shirt…that says “I’d rather chew glass” right at the start. The Maybe Daily Cap (51)
A first of many???
Darn tooting…I hope.
Many of you know the FD has been persistent in becoming a legitimate actor in NYC since graduating from NYU (all these abbreviations, for crying out loud…). She been at it for 10+ years, doing what she can to get noticed and polish her craft. Her professors told her it would be 10 or so years before she would get work (her body needed to catch up with her acting maturity is what I remember them telling her). Well looky here why don’t cha…it has been 10 years, she looks good (and a bit older), she has the work bit happening, now if only she could bank something for her loads of talent (patience Dad, it’s coming)!
Father’s Day

And so it was yesterday, St. Patty’s Day that the FD had lasik done to her eyeballs….
All is well today – she has 20/20 vision per her 24 hour post-op checkup. Hooray!
It’s tomorrow Sweets :(
Hope you had a fun happy birthday. As always, it was a treat to talk to you tonight. You’ve been “My Sunshine” since the day you were born…and my lobster-eating buddy since that Maine trip a few years ago! Love ya Sweets!
The FD Milestone
I got up this morning, put a couple eye drops in each eye, dressed for a Saturday, sat down with the iPhone and texted the FD. Within 1 minute of the event, her actual birthday anniversary, best wishes from a proud ‘pops” was sent.
It was a morning routine not much different than in 1980 except I had a much smaller girth then and I have a much better job now.
The FD was born on a Wednesday, 30 years ago today…at 6:57 a.m.. She has been Sunshine in my life ever since.
The FD has checked in
Who remembered, or knew of FD’s 3 week trip to Ecuador? I did, and it’s about time I heard from her!
FD (aka, T) left out a week ago last Sunday. We had an email from her on that next Monday following, saying she made it to Quito.
The second email followed on Wednesday expressing concern with the group of noisy, obnoxiously-loud college kids. She was headed up the Andes to a remote community for a week of no outside world communication, teaching English and acting to the village youth, and a noticable lack of personal hygiene luxuries. Don’t we all wish we were with her on this trip :)

Manila Phillippines welcomes the FD and Mark
They left Monday from NYC through Hong Kong. I think today is their yesterday. I’m always a wee bit nervous when FD travels to the other side of the globe…but I get over it quickly…just as soon as she checks in with dear ol’ Pops. I’m so proud of her and that adventurous spirit.
