She could stop a bird and a plane

Another end of an era. Isn’t it interesting that people of just about any degree of importance, influence, and interest captures…no, recaptures the imagination of those of us aging. To say the least, it becomes even more habitual – noting celebrity deaths – the older one gets.

Sadly, Joanne Siegel died last week in California at the colorful age of 93. She was married to Jerry Siegel. She truly was an inspiration to perhaps millions of people. 

Ms. Siegel was the cartoonist’s model for the Lois Lane comic book character. Her husband was the co-founder of the Superman character.

Her life was full of adventure. She was a survivor, winner, mom, wife, and never a quitter…kind of like the Lois Lane personality.
