That New Picture in the Header

Giving credit where it’s due: FD Tiffany took the picture now in my Blog header with my FugiFilm FinePix S5700 camera in Maine last summer (that was pre-Canon Rebel XT). She ungracefully scaled a fence and traversed down to the rocky shoreline at Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse (scoll down on the web page – those are FD’s perch rocks in the picture) to take this sunset photo. The mosquitoes practically carried her out to sea. Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse is the only lighthouse on Mount Desert Island (Acadia National Park)

Not bad shooting T-Babe but we certainly won’t talk about the possible Paparazzi-style trespassing done to get your photograph (I’m a proud dad to an adventure/travel photographer).

I can still hear Mom scolding you to “be careful” :)

Here’s FD’s back shot of the sunset from the shoreline. That’s FS and me on the lighthouse overlook deck. Nice timing T…Tyler snapped your picture at the same time. “Exhale Tyler and gently squeeze the shutter release” – I certainly didn’t mean to be doing the obvious picture-taking coaching of FS….

  1. The eye for a great photo runs through the genes – from Tim to Tiff to Tyler and even to Dani. Great shots! :o) bec

  2. I do need to “straighten” FD’s photo some day. It looks like all the ocean water is draining right. The picture must have been taken at the time when slippery rocks ’bout did her in (in the Atlantic that is)
