Monarchs

The weather, it be a changing. And one sign of that is a small life treat in spotting Monarch Butterflies on their migration route to Mexico.

While conversing with FD this morning, I looked out the kitchen window to discover a Monarch Butterfly taking roost on my blooming Abelia. I plugged in the telphone headset and grabbed my camera.

Not losing a beat of the telephone conversation, I snapped a few pictures.

  1. Aren’t they beautiful little creatures? In our science resource center here at the district office, we watch from caterpillar to butterfly each fall. It is my favorite time of the year! When that gorgeous green caterpillar climbs up the limb to form the chrysalis, it is truly amazing. Then, when the butterfly starts to emerge from their cocoon, it just takes your breath away!! Seriously!! Everyone should enjoy this experience – get outside and find a caterpillar and watch what God has in store for you! :o) Becky
