Fun is being had in NYC right now. Grandpa is being escorted about town by his three lovely granddaughters. They seem to be having a blast by the looks of the pictures coming from the girls? So here I sit halfway across the country trying to document and keep up with their fun…
They don’t know it yet, but all these gals and guy will have “guest blogger” priviledges next week right here! They will be charged with telling us all details of the trip. That ought to be entertaining as well!

So from what I can tell…how it went, and is going is something like this…thus far: arrival in NYC late yesterday morning, cab from LaGuardia into Manhattan, arrive at the apartment to drop off bags, and then off for one of the first stops for the day/trip at none other than McSorley’s – only THE best pub in the whole U.S. Things got good for this bunch real fast in that case, and doing better (than McSorley’s) is the challenge they now face (no poetry intended). Hmmm, they’ve
already done the “slice and beer”, ohhh my…there’s Katz Deli on their iteniary, Yankee Stadium, Ellis Island, maybe the Empire State Building, Central Park, Mario Battali restarant, and some street market somewhere – Chelsea I think. Oh I wish I was there!
Rain has apparently not dampened the spirits nor the adventure of exploring the City. Hope they packed an extra change of clothes.
They did Ground Zero and the Financial District yesterday, I assume. Hope they get to the Brooklyn Bridge and Park – always a great backdrop for a picture or two.
This is Dad’s first trip to the City, as it is for OFNi Tara. OFNi Dani has been a few times before…FD, well she’s been there 11 years now.
I can hardly wait for their stories, and their blogging!
All the photos in this post were emailed and texted from FD and OFNi’s Tara and Dani this afternoon. I’m sure more are yet to come.
