August- are those locust? I live in Southern CA, so I’m not sure. Amazing photo! I just put a puzzle together that is like December’s image, except with several balloons reflecting in the water.
Sandi – the August pests are locust, aka grasshoppers. They were thick this year with the Texas drought and I found these guys waiting for something to happen on the fence of a rural cemetery I was researching. Thanks for looking and asking! Happy New Year to you as well!
LOVE your new look, and I enjoyed soaking up the beauty of your 12 month retrospective. You are a brilliant photographer and a great lover of life, you’ve given me so many reasons to smile. All the best to you in the New Year!
Thanks Elisa – you know, new year…gotta do something new (different) :). It has been a pleasure to trade blog visits with you this past year. I always look forward to your posts (over there), comments (over here), and perspective (over everywhere). Your compliment is much appreciated. Same wishes to you this year!
Mona, you are an inspiration with your photography and living a full life to what it offers. Thanks lady! I will get this going again soon (I fear). :)
Wonderful images, Tim! I love them all but there’s something about August that I like despite the fact I don’t like beasties. The depth of field is especially excellent.

Happy 2013!

They all are stunning and I like the April one the most due to the lighting. November and December come as second and third respectively. :)
