My second cousin-in-law (is there such as relative classification?) had his thesis recital this evening. Opera singing is in his blood, and in my ears!All of 23 years old, Brian Yeakley woo’d the appreciative crowd of family, friends, guests, and professors with a voice that sat you back in your chair (unless you are sneaking a few candid, stealth-camera-in-the-armpit photos of the performance).Brian, with his proud parents after his recital…this one picture solidified my “family photographer” designation…at least in the eyes of these three.After any good Opera performance, one needs to celebrate appropriately…at Rice Village some 10 minutes from his performance at University of Houston….Kind of makes you wonder if Brian is still singing his recital as whatever tune it is, it catches his Dad’s ear….
