Now please trust me when I say this…I am not one to get post sloppy party pictures on a social media website, but I do appreciate good spirit(s) when starting a new year…and enjoy sharing those with good friends.However, our NYE party hosts certainly schooled this guy in fine entertainment…a Vieux Carré cocktail (with a Meyer’s lemon twist and brandied Kansas cherries from my father-in-law’s orchard) to start our spritited evening. I could get used to this delightful New Orleans classic….Thank you dear Oona and Ettore for your lovely NYE hospitality. A consumption first: Oysters Rockefeller with a fried oyster on top (and I will spare y’all of the 8-minute video post of our hosts making the Banana Foster desert…complete with cinnamon sparkles ignited by rum & brandy ingredients). We truly dined in New Orleans style this night.
