I do love that M&M commercial….
I do not love the SI article, College Football and Crime, in that it whistles the top college football programs and flags the criminals they recruit and/or keep on the team…all for the sake of TV dollars and fleeting glory. As most of you know, I have repeatedly claimed I didn’t like or watch Pro Football because the college game was mostly guys playing for the love of the sport and in the spirit of campus camaraderie (that good ol’ college try, why don’t ya?).
Sadly, I’m now a pulling guard out in front of the high school footballers – they are the best entertainment of and for the sport these days. Amen? As long as those H.S. coaches can keep them off steroids….
But if I do have to root for college football again in the near future, I’m pleased to say my beloved KSU Wildcats did not make the SI Top 25 in this category…and…I am a born-again TCU fan (for what has to be the 5th time in as many months) as Gary Patterson (KSU alum BTW) is doing more than a few things right in Fort Worth these days.
