Ah heck y’all, why limit it only to the Texas folks? Can anybody answer these questions? I don’t even know if I remember some of the answers!
Does anyone really want to…answer 49 questions? I thought about listing 174 questions, but I do have another life (I think) besides this blog.
Better late than never! I think I got all the January babies in the family as well.
I think I have pictures of all of them…at least those of you “in the family” that celebrated birthdays in February.
As far as the friends go, well…if I miss wishing you a happy birthday, I hope you had a happy birthday.

Hey y’all, I went to my plumbing doctor the other day. No one really likes those appointments, but you go anyway. You get there and then, well, you know the routine…well maybe you don’t, sorry. Allow me to explain.
Upon arrival, I check in and then asked to take a seat in the waiting room. After about for 15 minutes (and after enough time has gone by to get halfway through a really interesting magazine article), I’m called to go “beyond that door”. I am promptly greeted by Nurse Grumpy that hands me a sample cup and points to the last door on the right (I’d be grumpy too if that was my job day in and day out). There, the natural body function performance of peeing is done, admirably I might add, for the sake of medical science. Open the door and get shuffled to the exam room.
Sometimes, I swear (not really)…all I can do is shake my head and clear the frog in my throat. From National Geographic Daily News comes this: Photos: Bubble-nest Frog, Other “Extinct” Species Found.
“They”…found…extinct…frogs? Alive? Then wouldn’t that make them un-extinct? Wait, were they not no nevermind ever extinct, right?
Since I signed up for this “postaday2011” thing through WordPress, they have helped spur ideas to keep the posting alive. Mostly, I’ve dismissed those ideas as I’ve had something to share, worthy or not, most of the time.
Not that I needed today’s “idea”, but it did bring back a teenager memory of mine. Here’s the question asked: How long do you think you can go without a shower?
Hope you had a fun happy birthday. As always, it was a treat to talk to you tonight. You’ve been “My Sunshine” since the day you were born…and my lobster-eating buddy since that Maine trip a few years ago! Love ya Sweets!
Who knew? Today is/was Chocolate Mint Day…it just has to be a day celebrated by all, at the very least by those amongst us with a burgeoning waistline and having at least three dental appointments already scheduled in advance this year (that would be so like me in it’s description). On the UNT campus and directly across from the new football stadium under construction, I attended a Denton Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Luncheon today. The featured speaker was Dan McCarney, the latest meanest greenest head coach for the University of North Texas. I wanted to speak with him afterwards, knowing most UNT football coaches in the past were always looking for someone to talk to after such an event, but the crowd surrounded the coach following the luncheon, apparently all wanting to literally rub elbows and become infected with his energy. Wow – it’s been 1 year since Sadie the Scottish Terrier won the Westminster Dog Show…it seems only like yesterday. Almost to the day one year ago I proudly wrote I’ll see your Sadie, and raise you Mackie – not the most popular of posts, but one of pride and contentment in so doing.

A week in bizarre review of random pictures….
We did that trip last August. Deb & I drove to Philadelphia – she had a work conference – I went on into Brooklyn to deliver furniture and see FD and FSIL.
The FD took me to a way cool historic cemetery – Green-Wood – that she knew I would really like. She was right.
500,000 visitors a year; 7,000 trees; gardens; ponds; fountains; population is a non-complaining 560,000 folks founded in 1838.
This place even has a map!
